COLERE
Colere, a charming ski resort located in the picturesque Val di Scalve, lies on the north face of the majestic Presolana, in the heart of the Orobie Mountains.
At an altitude of 1050 meters, this enchanting destination offers wilderness while remaining surprisingly close to Lombardy's urban centers: only 60 km from Bergamo, 100 km from Milan and 75 km from Brescia.
Thanks to new snowmaking facilities, modern groomers and state-of-the-art ski lifts, such as the new 10-passenger gondola lift from the village of Colere to Polzone, the 6-passenger chairlift from Polzone to Cima Bianca, and the new "Capanno" two-seater chairlift in place of the outdated ski lift, as well as another chairlift and a fully covered treadmill, Colere presents itself as the ideal destination for ski enthusiasts.
The downhill ski slopes reach an altitude of 2088 meters, with seven red, one black and one blue run, with a total length of more than 20 kilometers.
Thanks to the three chairlifts that take skiers to higher altitudes, it is possible to enjoy a long and exciting descent, also thanks to artificial snow.
Colere allows skiing from December to May, offering breathtaking views of the Orobie Orientali and the Adamello chain, with the characteristic profile of Pizzo della Presolana marking the entire area.
The high altitude slopes are approved for international supergiant downhill races, and in 2010 Colere hosted the 44th ANA National Giant Slalom Championships.
The slopes are suitable for experienced snowboarders and skiers of all levels, while ski mountaineers can enjoy off-piste skiing and high-altitude winter hiking.
Colere, with its combination of enchanting scenery and state-of-the-art facilities, promises an unforgettable skiing experience.
